Command's F-PROT Professional Version 2.27 Incorporates Macro Virus Protection on all Platforms
For Immediate Release, June 17, 1997
JUPITER, FL (June 17, 1997) - Command Software Systems announced today the release of Commands F-PROT Professional, version 2.27. In this latest release, Command has added Macro Virus Protection (MVP) to all of the Commands F-PROT Professional scanning engines, providing state-of-the-art protection from macro viruses.
Commands F-PROT Professional provides up-to-date, real time, on-access scanning for all virus threats. Since new macro viruses are being identified almost daily, it has become imperative that users have access to these new virus signatures as soon as they are discovered. With MVP in place, users need simply download a single file, macro.def, to receive the latest virus signatures.
"By incorporating MVP into the world famous F-PROT scanning engine, Command has provided our customers a powerful weapon in the battle against macro viruses," said Pam Oppenheim, Command Software Product Manager. "Our customers need only download one small file to ensure they are protected from all known macro viruses. Macro virus protection has never been so fast, so easy, or so complete."
