Profit Sharing & Retirement

  • Profit Sharing

Command may in its discretion elect to grant a profit sharing award to our employees based on our profitability for the fiscal year. All regular full-time and part-time employees who have been employed by Command for more than one year and who work a minimum of 1000 hours per year are eligible to participate in the Profit Sharing Plan.

  • 401(k)

Command has an Employee Retirement Plan, also referred to as a 401(k) plan, to provide employees with a monthly pension benefit upon retirement. All regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Entry dates are quarterly. Each employee may elect to have his/her compensation reduced by up to 15% to a maximum contribution of $9,500 during any given plan year. An employer contribution may be granted each year. The amount of any discretionary contribution will be based on Commands profitability.

  • Section 125/Cafeteria Plan

Command sponsors a tax savings employee benefit plan which can save employees and their families considerable dollars in federal taxes each year. The essence of the "Cafeteria Plan" is that it allows employees to pay for the family portion of our group major medical, dental, long term disability and vision insurance as well as child care or elder care costs with pre-tax income dollars. Because we deduct the cost of medical insurance prior to taxes being calculated, the employees pay check will reflect an increase in take home pay.

Also, employees may participate in the Flexible Spending Account portion of the plan which allows employees to pay for medical and health related expenses with pre-tax dollars, further reducing tax liability.

  • Vacation

Vacation is a time for our employees to rest, relax and pursue special interests. All regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible for paid vacation. Each employee earns 10 days of paid vacation each year.

  • Paid Holidays

Command recognizes the following as official paid holidays:

    • New Years Day
    • Memorial Day
    • Independence Day
    • Labor Day
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas
However, it is not uncommon for the CEO to extend a holiday by granting additional time off. For example, the day after Thanksgiving or the day after Christmas.

  • Discretionary Bonus

It has been Commands practice to distribute annual merit bonuses when profits permit.

  • Tuition Reimbursement

We believe that individuals who possess a desire to continue their education in addition to performing a full-time job, show a commitment to improving themselves and their position within the company. To encourage and reward these employees, Command offers an Education Assistance benefit.

Wellness

Command strongly believes that a healthy, well balanced lifestyle contributes to overall success and happiness in the workplace so we encourage employees to participate in a variety of company-sponsored wellness programs.

As a Heart-At-Work company in cooperation with the American Heart Association, Command employees participate in various health-related events throughout the year and sponsors and participates in varius local charity events, fundraisers, heart walks and blood drives. In an effort to promote the continued health and well-being of our employees, we even offer free flue vaccinations, CPR classes and semi-annual health fairs. And many employes take advantage of our close proximity to several oceanfront parks where they jog on the heart trails, participate in our walking clinics or soak in some Vitamin D relaxing in the Florida sunshine.

  • Health Days

The management at Command wants to encourage employee health and help alleviate any financial hardship which may result from an employee's need to stay home and become healthy if he or she is ill or injured or for any necessary medical appointments or treatment. Many companies have "sick" days, but Command prefers to call these wellness-oriented days "health days". Although these days are used in a similar way as sick days, the name better reflects Command's positive orientation toward maintaining the health and well-being of our employees.

Company Culture

While it is the quality of our products and services that sets us apart from our competitors in the marketplace, it is our commitment to our employees that sets us apart as an employer. The environment that we advance here at Command is one of complete support and constant challenge, for it has been our experience that the only way to achieve our full potential as a company is for each of our employees to achieve this same goal on a personal level.

We support and encourage the constant growth and development of each member of the Command Team. In fact, it is not uncommon for Management to first attempt to fill new positions from within before looking outside the company. Command fosters a sense of team spirit, overall wellness and continued challenge and education.

Everyone at Command, including our CEO, is on a first-name basis. In fact, it is not uncommon to see the CEO roaming the halls chatting with team members from various departments. This contact helps her stay accessible to all the employees and also helps her keep her finger on the pulse of the company. As we continue to grow, we are determined to maintain many of these positive aspects of a small company. This "small company" atmosphere encourages the constant exchange of ideas and instills a level of satisfaction and comfort that one does not often find in most large, fast-paced companies.

Here at Command, we are equally serious about having fun and staying healthy. During the holidays the entire company buzzes with activity - beautiful decorations, company parties and a very generous holiday schedule. Throughout the year, all Command employees are invited to share in the company's successes.

The health, happiness, satisfaction, and overall well-being of our employees translates into our continued success as a company. Here at Command we believe that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, and we are proud to say that our company culture truly reflects that belief.
